The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to provide administrative support and front counter reception at the Administration Office.

Reporting to the Deputy Clerk, this position will serve the public by responding to general inquiries by telephone, email and in person;  act as the first point of contact for the Corporate Services Department; process incoming/outgoing mail and documents; utilize couriers; order supplies; process parking ticket and other payments; coordinate and process departmental invoices, financial deposits, petty cash and reconcile purchasing card statements; and provide administrative support to the Clerk’s Division as required.  In addition, this position serves as Deputy Division Registrar and Deputy Issuer for the purposes of registering information under the Vital Statistics Act and processing applications for marriage licences and burial permits; processes applications for lottery licences in accordance with Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario policies and procedures and is Commissioner of Oaths for the purposes of administering oaths and taking affidavits.  This position also assists with the municipal election.

Preferred candidates will have post-secondary education in business administration with prior experience in customer service office environments.  The individual will be able to communicate effectively, professionally and courteously with all levels of staff, external contacts and the general public and be productive in a customer service team environment. Preferred candidates can demonstrate excellent project/time/records management, organizational, analytical, and research skills.  In addition, the successful candidate must have demonstrated proficiency with information technology and experience in exercising knowledge of geographical area, Town policies, procedures, by-laws and telephone and voicemail systems.  In addition, the candidate must have the ability to travel to off-site locations in a timely and efficient manner as required and will be required to provide a Criminal Record Check upon hire.

The position offers a salary range of $44,165 to $55,207 (2018 rates) plus a competitive benefit package.
