As part of our ‘One Town, One Team’ approach, InnServices Utilities Inc. is the exciting new company created by the Town of Innisfil to deliver water and wastewater services to Innisfil and other municipalities.
A member of a collaborative and innovative team, you will work in an environment that focuses on service excellence and environmental stewardship. You will provide leadership, supervise and direct the day-to-day activities of the team, oversee operations and maintenance activities, as well as lead assigned projects and support services for InnServices Utilities Inc. You will further assume the Overall Responsible Operator (ORO) duties for water and wastewater, coordinate and oversee routine maintenance and inspections of the water and wastewater systems while ensuring compliance with Provincial Legislation and Corporate policies for the protection of public health and safety; as well as prepare reports and attend Board, community and public meetings as required and stay current with legislative and regulatory guidelines.
We are seeking a dedicated and driven self-starter who thrives working in a collaborative environment, understands the merits of high safety standards, demonstrated strong leadership and interpersonal skills, and a strong sense of community. Your community College diploma from a recognized educational institution with a focus in Civil Engineering, Environmental Studies or related field is required, a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation is an asset, and a minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in a water and wastewater treatment utility environment, with a minimum of two (2) years managerial/supervisory experience in a unionized environment. Also required are Ministry of Environment certifications: Class III Water Distribution, Class III Water Treatment, Class II Wastewater Collection, Class III Wastewater Treatment. A Valid Class G driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle to use for corporate business is required, as is the ability to attend evening and weekend meetings or other events as required and respond immediately and effectively to any emergency.
