The Town of Shelburne, with a 2016 population of 8126 and continuing rapid growth, due to its welcoming nature and geographic location, is seeking a dynamic individual to assume the position of Chief Administrative Officer to replace the recently retired incumbent.

He or she will work with a talented management team and an engaged Council to manage the day to day affairs of the municipality and advise the Council on policy, strategy and intergovernmental issues.

The preferred candidate will have an appropriate combination of post-secondary education and management experience, probably in the municipal field.  It will include significant experience in a managerial role demonstrating effective leadership of staff, and knowledge of the types of challenges and opportunities facing the Town and its residents. He or she will be an effective communicator in a variety of settings and possess strong interpersonal skills.
