As part of the senior leadership team, the Director of Development Services will be instrumental in helping to shape the future strategic and operational direction of the Township. This position reports to the Chief Administrative Officer and provides leadership and management to the integrated development services group which includes the Planning and Building Departments as well as contracted, By Law Enforcement Services and Economic Development initiatives.
We are seeking someone who brings extensive senior leadership experience and a proven track record of managing, coordinating and delivering services across an organization with an emphasis on driving excellence in customer service. Candidates must have membership in or eligibility for full membership in the Canadian Institute of Planners with designation as a Registered Professional Planner. A Masters in Planning is preferred. In-depth knowledge of Municipal Planning and Building procedures and principles, by laws and related legislation and regulations is required.
