Are you a visionary leader with a passion for shaping the future of urban development? As the Director of Development Engineering, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic team in overseeing and enhancing the municipal engineering aspects of growth and infrastructure in the city.
You will oversee the provision of Development Engineering Services and expertise in the following areas: review and approval of development applications, including Official Plan Amendments, Zoning By-law Amendments, Site Plan Controls, Plans of Subdivision and Consents. The review focuses on the municipal engineering aspects of the applications – site servicing, storm water management, site grading, and site access.
In this pivotal role, you’ll guide and mentor a talented team, driving service excellence while collaborating with a variety of departments to implement Council’s vision and the Council approved Strategic Plan. Reporting to the Deputy City Manager, Infrastructure Development, you will provide strategic, technical, financial, and administrative oversight to ensure the success of the Development Engineering department.
