Appointment as Chief Administrative Officer
Town of Ajax
The Town of Ajax is pleased to announce that Shane Baker will assume the role of Chief Administrative Officer on September 4, 2018, following the retirement of the current Chief Administrative Officer, Rob Ford.
With more than 30 years of municipal experience, Shane brings extensive public sector knowledge and leadership to the role. Shane has been with the Town of Richmond Hill since 2001, holding various senior management positions, and has been the Commissioner of Community Services since 2010. Prior to the Town of Richmond Hill, he was the Fire Chief with King Township.
Shane holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Western Ontario and also completed the AMCTO – Ivey Business School Executive Municipal Leadership Program.
With a proven track record of creating a culture that is engaged, values the needs of stakeholders and is committed to service excellence, we look forward to welcoming Shane to the Town of Ajax.
