District of Tumbler Ridge council is pleased to confirm the appointment of Jennifer Thompson as the new chief administrative officer (CAO). Ms. Thompson, who brings 16 years of administrative experience to the leadership role, will take over as the district’s CAO by October 1, 2020.
Ms. Thompson is coming to us from the Town of Lanigan, Saskatchewan, and has served as their chief administrative officer for five years. Her previous experience, which includes asset management, financial management, public works, and wastewater, has enhanced her knowledge in urban and rural administration as the equivalent of chief administrative officer and coprporate officer in Saskatchewan.
Mayor Keith Bertrand stated, “We are confident that Ms. Thompson will be an excellent fit to the community, and we look forward to her joining the team.”
District council welcomes Jennifer to the community and looks forward to working with her to fulfill the responsibilities of guiding the municipality in the years ahead.
