Council has announced that Mr. Greg Skotheim has been selected as the new Chief Administration Officer (CAO) for the Town of Bowden. He will be assuming his new roles and responsibilities on April 29, 2019. With more than 24 years of progressive responsibility and leadership within municipal government, coupled with a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Administration, a Local Government Administration certificate, as well as a certificate in Municipal Management & Leadership, Council feels that Mr. Skotheim brings the right blend of education, hands on experience and leadership to the Town of Bowden.
Mr. Skothiem spent the past nearly six years with the Town of Didsbury as their manager of Public Works & Infrastructure, as well as the Deputy Director of Emergency Management. Prior to that, he served on two separate occasions, for a total of 13 years with the Town of Three Hills as the Director of Operations & Infrastructure, Director of Emergency Management and Community Services Manager. He also spent some time on the operations side with the Anthony Henday Water Treatment Plant, as well as at a Director level with the Town of Ponoka.
He comes with a vast professional network of contacts, as well as a solid understanding of the local area, issues and challenges. Council is confident that with the addition of Mr. Skotheim to the existing team, the Town of Bowden is well positioned for the future.
