Norfolk County, Ont. has hired Genevieve Scharback to be its new County Clerk. Scharback brings an expansive resume, which includes roles as Chief Administrative Officer, Director of Administration, Manager of Corporate Services, Clerk, and Deputy Regional Clerk at the Regional Municipality of Niagara. Scharback holds a Graduate Diploma in Public Administration from Western University and is a Certified Municipal Officer.
“On behalf of Council, I am pleased to welcome Genevieve and look forward to working together with her to serve Norfolk County residents,” said Norfolk County Mayor Amy Martin. “She brings extensive knowledge, skills, and experience to an important municipal government role.”
Scharback – who replaces the outgoing Teresa Olsen – will officially begin her new role on April 17.
