David Cribbs

Chief Administrative Officer
  • Organization: Town of Pelham
  • Posted: July 10th, 2019

The Town of Pelham has announced the hiring of David Cribbs as its new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).

Previously the CAO for Norfolk County, where he led and supervised over 750 county staff, Cribbs carries 15 years of municipal experience to the position, having served the City of London, the Municipality of Chatham-Kent, and Lambton County in various roles.

“I was thrilled when this opportunity presented itself,” said Cribbs. “I was already familiar with the community, both as a tourist and as a municipal leader who had studied the MCC building as a design template for recreational facilities. Pelham’s slogan has it right: this community is vibrant, creative and caring. The chance to make a meaningful contribution to Pelham was one I very much wanted to seize. I look forward to years of doing good work with Council, staff, and the community.”

Transformative Incrementalism: A journey to sustainability

Cribbs is well positioned to help the Pelham Town Council achieve its financial goals, as demonstrated by his track record of delivering five successive budget surpluses for Lambton County’s Corporate Services Division and leading a team of staff to achieve hundreds of thousands of dollars in levy savings at Norfolk County by making changes to service delivery models in such areas as legal services, insurance, communications, and waste and recycling collection services.

“Mr. Cribbs is someone this Council believes can take the reins in Pelham and move us forward in an organized, steady manner,” said Mayor Marvin Junkin. “His experience speaks for itself and we look forward to officially welcoming Mr. Cribbs to Pelham on July 8.”

Cribbs fills the full time position currently held on an interim basis by Town Treasurer and Director of corporate services Teresa Quinlin.
