The City of Penticton has announced that the recruitment for the Economic Development Specialist has been successfully completed with the appointment of Mr. Andrew Kemp, effective June 17, 2019.
Mr. Kemp will be joining the City’s development services team. He is a seasoned economic development professional, having most recently worked for the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, funding the leading municipal infrastructure initiatives across Canada. Prior to that he worked with leading economic development consulting firm MDB Insight and for the economic development department of the County of Huron, Ontario.
An alumnis of the University of Waterloo’s Masters in Economic Development program, Mr. Kemp worked in the financial services sector for 10 years prior to starting in economic development. Mr. Kemp spent a year working in Kenya supporting strategic sector investment initiatives for the Kenyan Ministry of Industry, Trade and Cooperatives.
