It’s foretelling perhaps, that the Webster’s Dictionary definition of “sustainable” includes: to keep from falling or sinking, and also: to nourish or keep alive. But, I like to call sustainability just a fancy word for balance, that situation where a system’s outputs equal inputs; resource extraction equals replacement, for example.
