Taking learning out of the classroom ... and into city hall

This winter, two classes of elementary students each moved into Kingston’s historic city hall – for a full week. The student “takeover” was Kingston’s latest implementation of Beyond Classrooms Kingston, an initiative that moves students out of their classrooms and into community spaces, based on a highly successful model established in western Canada over 20 years ago.
