Having taken a break over the Christmas season and into the new year allowed me the luxury of catching up on some reading and thinking about what I might next write about for those interested in local government. One of the books I recently read was Mayors Gone Bad by Philip Slayton. I found it to be entertaining, informative, and compelling. At its core, however, the message was disturbing.
