Over the course of the next 20 years, three million more people – the population of metropolitan Montreal – will clog even further the commute in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.

Today, the average commuter in the region loses more than $1,300 a year in personal time due to congestion. With a typical round trip commute time of 82 minutes, the region is among the worst in North America.
