Deputy Mayor Jae Eadie was first elected to Winnipeg city council as the councillor for Deer Lodge Ward in October of 1980, and was re-elected for that area in 1983, 1986, and 1989. In 1992, he was re-elected in the new ward of St. James, and was re-elected in that constituency in 1995.
