Thanks to technological advances, anyone can easily and quickly put together an online survey or poll. This is both a boon and a problem. Like most technologies, empowerment does not convey ability, credibility, or good methodology. Nonetheless, polls and surveys have become a key element in the ongoing debate online and in social media. It’s just unfortunate so many don’t do what they’re intended to do.
