The approach taken by each community is varied, according to their community objectives, planning staff capacities, and specific energy and GHG targets. What has become apparent is that the current process used to plan built environments, power built spaces, and transport people will need to change in order to successfully achieve GHG reductions, to meet energy efficiency goals.
