Every child has encountered the question, “What did you learn today?” as they returned home from school. Even at that tender age, they knew this wasn’t an ordinary question. It belonged to a category different from “Did you enjoy your lunch?” or “Did it rain today?” Those questions are requesting a report on what the world presented to them.
