The abrupt changes caused by COVID-19 hit people hard. Many lost their jobs and/or suddenly became full-time caregivers for their kids as schools and day cares closed. Thousands suddenly needed help to make ends meet, and they scrambled to find it.
Although COVID-19 put a sharp point on it, every community across Canada has people who need help, whether it’s a meal or a safe shelter, or something less urgent like a place for seniors
