It has been seven years this past December that the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s (TRC’s) 94 Calls to Action were released.
The TRC was formulated in 2008 with the objective of gathering Residential School survivor stories/testimonies about their experiences within Canada’s Residential School system. From 2010-2014, the TRC held seven national events while visiting over 300 communities and collecting over 6,500 statements that ranged anywhere from 10 minutes to five hours in length.
