Medicine Hat City Council announced the appointment of Ann Mitchell as City Manager. Mitchell was previously serving as the CAO for Lethbridge County – a position she held since 2018. Prior to that, she was the CAO in the Municipality of Sioux Lookout from 2012-2018, the Township of Pelee, Ont. from 2008-2012 and the Township of Prince, Ont. from 2005-2008.
She holds a Master of Arts in Leadership from Royal Roads University, as well as a Master Certificate in Municipal Management from the Schulich School of Business at York University, an Executive Diploma in Municipal Management, a Diploma in Municipal Administration, and is a Certified Municipal Officer.
“We are excited to have Ann bring her years of experience in the role as CAO to the City of Medicine Hat. We are confident that we will grow and thrive under her leadership,” said Mayor Linnsie Clark.
“I am thrilled to join this progressive council and administration team. I look forward to leading this organization in the implementation of council’s vision for the community,” Mitchell said. “We cannot wait to make Medicine Hat our home.”
