As with communities across Canada, Penetanguishene is ageing. The senior population in the town is expected to continue to grow, reaching approximately 37 percent by 2031. Home to over 10,000 residents, the Ontario town saw a need to take critical steps to create a more age-friendly community, where all residents, not just the senior population, can be active and engaged members of the community at every stage of life.
