Small municipality goes big with Green Municipal Campus
For a rural municipality in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley, 2022 marks a turning point in the corporation’s tango with climate change. The Municipality of the County of Kings kicked off the New Year with a new, net-zero Engineering and Public Works (EPW) Operations Centre designed to generate more energy than it consumes. The 7,000-square-foot facility is located a stone’s throw from the energy-efficient Administration Centre that the municipality opened in May 2019.
