A lot has been written about women being underrepresented in municipal government across the country, and the small bilingual province of New Brunswick is not immune to this issue.

Although female mayors in New Brunswick take up 23 percent of the pie, which is slightly better than the national average of 18 percent, it is far from equal gender representation for our communities.
