The Town of Cochrane has selected Michael Derricott as their new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). He starts in his new role January 4, 2021.
Mayor Jeff Genung is happy with the process and the appointment. “Mike captures the skills and qualities we looked for in this position,” he says. “We look forward to welcoming him to Cochrane.”
Derricott comes to the Cochrane with 10 years’ experience as a municipal Chief Administrative Officer, most recently in Edson, Alberta. He also has a Master’s of Business Administration from Royal Roads University and a background in banking.
Town council extends their thanks to Interim CAO Drew Hyndman who has filled the role for the past nine months — some of the most challenging in our history.
