Clearview CAO Steve Sage announced his plans to retire at the end of 2020 after a nearly three-decade career. Since November of 1990, in what was then the Township of Sunnidale, Steve has been serving the Clearview community.
Beginning with the Township of Sunnidale as the Road Superintendent, and moving into the role of Road and Drainage Supervisor upon Clearview’s amalgamation in 1994, Steve’s extensive experience in Public Works led to his promotion to Deputy Director of Public Works in 2003, and General Manager of Public Works in 2012. In 2014 Steve moved into the CAO position, leading Clearview for the remainder of this career.
“On behalf of the Township of Clearview, I wish to congratulate Mr. Sage on his decision to retire from the role of CAO” stated Mayor Measures, “as an employee for over 30 years, he has contributed to the growth of the community in so many ways. There is no doubt that his skills, knowledge and experience at Public Works Management developed the strong leadership skills he demonstrated as CAO. Mr. Sage has been a reliable and confident leader guiding our municipal staff. He knows our Township intimately, from every trail or Sideroad to the policies that serve our residents and demonstrates his passion for our community every day. His tenure of service is a testament to the level of dedication to Clearview he holds.”
Council will begin the recruitment process in the coming weeks. The knowledge, strength, and skill of the Senior Management Team will maintain leadership of the Township in the interim.
