The City of North Vancouver is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Greg Schalk as the new Fire Chief of the City of North Vancouver Fire Department.

Chief Schalk has a long and impressive history in the fire service. He joined the city as a Firefighter in 2000 and became a Lieutenant in 2014. On behalf of the city’s Fire Department, he was instrumental in developing the North Shore Rapid Intervention Team Program and the North Shore Blue Card Incident Command Program.

In his new role, Chief Schalk will oversee all city fire operations, fire prevention and inspection, business administration and fire service delivery, as well as oversight of the city’s emergency planning and response program in collaboration with the North Shore Emergency Management Office (NSEM).
