Council officially appointed Ken Kelly as the new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for the Municipality of Mississippi Mills. Following a fulsome hiring process, it is with great excitement that the Council of Mississippi Mills announces the hiring of Ken to join the organization.

“Council has conducted an extensive process to evaluate candidates and select a person that will fit with our talented staff and enhance the level of service that the residents of Mississippi Mills are accustomed to receiving.  I am confident Ken will provide a new perspective and new energy to the organization” say Mississippi Mills Mayor Christa Lowry.

Ken brings 20 years of municipal government experience in roles in the private sector and with a number of small and large municipalities including the City of Ottawa.  Most recently Ken was the Chief Administrative Officer for the Eastern Regional Service Board located in St. John’s, NL.  He has a Masters of Urban and Rural Planning and is a Chartered Professional Accountant both of which have served him well in his career.

“I am excited to be joining Mississippi Mills at this key time in its development.  As a candidate in the selection process I have spent a great deal of time getting to know the area and Council.  I look forward to working with Mayor Lowry and Council to implement their vision for Mississippi Mills” said Ken Kelly.

The lead staff person for the organization is an important role and the municipality is glad to be able to bring someone on board that has Ken’s depth of experience.

Ken’s first day will be Tuesday, May 28, 2019.
