On May 9, 2017, British Columbians will once again go to the polls. This will be the 41st general election of the province. Currently, the government is led by the BC Liberals under the leadership of Premier Christy Clark. They have been in power for the past 16 years, after winning an overwhelming majority with Gordon Campbell as their leader. In 2011, with his popularity among the electorate tanking, Campbell resigned and Clark took over.
